  • Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999 -- John Zavinski announces his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Warren County commissioner.

  • Tuesday, May 18, 1999 -- Primary Election Day. Republicans nominate John, giving him the highest vote count of the party's five candidates.

  • Saturday, May 29, 1999 -- John delivers main address at 30th annual Four Flags Ceremony, Crescent Park, Warren

  • Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999 -- Election Day. Pennsylvania polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
